Whether you’re visiting for the first time or you’ve lived here for years, there’s so much to explore — and we’re happy to share our discoveries with you here.
Who are we?
Hi! We’re Olivia and Andrew, with young kiddos Max and Miki. (This is Olivia writing, the main voice behind Finger Lakes Family Fun.)
We love to travel and have visited a bunch of countries between us, including Croatia, Jordan, Ecuador, Japan, China, and Morocco. (Still working on upping my total count of 33, which includes my home country, Germany, and Poland, where I spent a couple of years for ethnographic research.)
We’re just as eager to get to know our own region. We love venturing out from our home base near Ithaca at the southern end of Cayuga Lake to discover everything the Finger Lakes have to offer, especially for families.
Discovering the Finger Lakes
There’s a lot to see and do in the Finger Lakes! From “gorges” nature to world-class museums (including several wonderful children’s museums), historical sites, great wineries and breweries, an amazing local food culture, and lots of fun kids activities.
We’re trying to get to as many destinations as possible so we can report back with info and tips to inspire your own visits and make them easier.
